What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is an approach to health and wellbeing that centers around the body’s own natural ability to function and heal itself.
The human body is incredibly complex and intricate. Your nervous system controls and regulates every cell of your body. When your nervous system doesn’t work correctly, you don’t work correctly. It’s that simple!
Chiropractic is based on the knowledge that tension, misalignment or altered movement of the spine (subluxation) can interfere with the flow of information and energy along your nerves and may dramatically affect the function of your body in many different ways. At this stage you may or may not experience symptoms. Symptoms are not a true indicator or how well your body is functioning, as only 10% of your nervous system perceives pain.
Chiropractors focus on improving the function of the nervous system by removing subluxations of the spine. The body is then able to co-ordinate functions of the body optimally, adapt to stress and heal. Under Chiropractic care many people naturally find relief from their aches, pains and symptoms caused by a vast range of conditions and are then able to perform at their best.
